Discipline does not need to be something that has a negative connotation. In fact, discipline, if done correctly acts as an outlet of love and not a method for a parent to vent his own frustration. The true test of discipline is this: Does it effect the desired outcome and does it let the child understand (maybe not at the time of the discipline) that the act of discipline is only to lead to his/her own good?
